Re-inspection problems

For those people who have a real need for a re-inspection (out of town clients) for instance I start at half the cost of the original inspection and the price could go up (as high as original inspection) or down depending on how many items they want reinspected, travel time etc. I tell them to try to limit it to things they need an inspector to look at, in or to keep the cost down. They must give me a list in writing of the items. I give them a written report with pictures to prove what was or wasn’t fixed. If you have a set price and there are a billion defects to verify you’re coming out on the losing end. If your price is too low they will just say “everything” and again it’s a bunch of work to verify. You have to have a fair policy for this. Also…never talk to repair men…they will waste your time and argue about ridiculous stuff. Let your report speak for you.
