I have heard everything on realtors referring an inspector. Does anyone know if a realtor can refer an inspector and not have to give a list. If this is true where in trec does it say this. I have heard the give at least three names was so they could cover their tails.
I think it is a personal thing for each Realtor. I have some that call me and set it up for their clients. I have no idea if they initially provided a list. I have some that will say if you want it cheap use A, if you want it thorough use Kevin.
I do not think there is an actual “rule.”
The theory is that if they provide multiple choices they have less liability if something goes wrong.
