Please accept this reminder that the deadline for submitting technical comments on the Workforce Guidelines for Home Energy Upgrades is September 2, 2011.
Instructions on how to submit comments can be found below, and for your convenience, I’ve included the link to NREL’s review website here: http://www.nrel.gov/applying_technologies/retrofit_review/.
On behalf of DOE and NREL we thank you for helping to improve the quality of the work performed in the weatherization and home energy upgrade industry.
On behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) requests your assistance in addressing a few remaining technical issues related to the Workforce Guidelines for Home Energy Upgrades.
DOE conducted an initial public review of the guidelines from November 2010 to January 2011 that generated nearly 1,000 unique comments, many of which NREL was able to validate and incorporate. NREL has engaged InterNACHI and other industry experts to ensure there are no remaining technical issues and to verify that the sections that received fewer comments are complete*. *
As you review the guidelines and submits comments, we ask that you do so with the following considerations:
-
Focus on the sections that are relevant to your particular area of expertise;
-
Consider the entire document for technical accuracy and completeness; and
-
If you plan to use the guidelines to develop materials for your own activities, we would appreciate comments about the most effective format in which to make the final guidelines available.
