Kevin, typically 80 psi is considered maximum. However, there are some areas that have fluctuations, such as near a transfer station, or anything of that nature that could cause it to spike to about 90 psi. A real good plumber once told me that in one area of Joplin, they maintain it about 90 - 95 psi so that with peak usage, they can keep it it about 70-80 psi in the executive’s houses, then it goes down a bit during the day and picks up again in early evening.
