I got this one as an Email as well.

Thank you! I’m not entirely sure what you can manage for me, but I appreciate the thought.

As to the Hurricane,

I’m looking at 4-6 inches of rain, 35mph sustained, 65mph gusts.

The rain is no big deal here, this part of Florida is probably the best area in the country as far as storm water runoff planning goes. 10 inches before the golf courses flood and another 10 inches before it affects homes. We won’t see anywhere near that during this storm.

There is a mandatory evacuation for people in trailers. I’m in a block and stucco home with a hip roof that will shrug off 65mph winds without issue.

It started raining here about an hour ago. No wind at the moment.

Best wishes to everyone in the main path of this thing.

Good luck Mark. You’re pretty far north of where they expect the hurricane to make landfall. You’ll just get rain like you said.

Yeah, I don’t expect this to be much of a storm for me.

I credit the fact that I bought a Yeti 65 and a bunch of storm preparation. Soon after, I noticed it the models tracking southward.

I also bought a nice dewalt light and charged up all my batteries. Once that was all here, the storm just gave up and aimed at other people

I’m not trying to make light of this though, it’s going to be tough on some folks. My former boss has a home on Holmes beach/Anna Marie Island as well as a place in the mangroves around Crystal River. I think both are going to have a bad run of it.

President Trump is sheltering 250 lineman before the hurricane hits! Biden and Cameltoe are nowhere to be seen.

Nope, we put up shutters and are staying put.
We are not in a flood zone or evac zone. It’s getting windy, and lots of rain.

Most in my area are still here as well.

Stay safe down there! If you are like me, you will be standing by the window watching the storm roll in and taking pictures and video, lol. Please share!

The last 10 minutes or so, it’s gotten very windy here.

Starting to rattle the windows and whistle under the doors. I guess I need new seals.

The radar I was watching had the eye wall pass over Englewood about 7:30ish.

Hard to get good video, it’s dark…
But looks like I will be needing a new roof by the time this is done.

I think you are right. What is the wind speed? It doesn’t look super windy in your video, but I know videos can be deceiving.

Here’s another.
Someone in the neighborhood has a wind speed monitor and said 80.

Multiple tornados occurred today, including a rare large wedge tornado near Lake O.

Great job Ron.
