Hope the rest of the roof looks better than the pics. I like the big gap in picture #2 and no flashing. In the first pic the nail is in the tar strip but that is on the ridge so it’s not as big of a deal but for the shingles in the field the if the nails are in the tar they are to high.

The cellophane strips should not be removed. They’re installed to prevent shingles from sticking together during packaging, but they don’t align with adhesive strips after shingle are installed.

They often contain printed information pertaining to production and compliance with standards that can be useful if there’s a problem at some point.
