Roof Inspection

I just performed the visual inspection on a relatives roof. The roof appears to be older because there was about a half inch of small shingle gravel in the gutter.

I also uploaded a picture of the rubber boot that was cracked around the pvc vent pipe. There was also exposed fasteners on the flashing. The type of shingle was 3 tab. There was 1 layer of shingle. The sheathing looked good. There appeared to be no hail damage, which is common in our area. All flashings seem to have been installed correctly, Soffits were in great condition and attic was properly vented.

Personally, I hate the plastic vent boots. They never seem to stay flat. The plastic warps.

Just a note, you might see new roofs have quite a bit as well sometimes from the installation process but not that much.
