ACA is not what people really wanted in health care reform, what the majority of American’s really wanted from health care reform was both the individual mandate and a single-payer provider, not until then will we have a health care system we can truly be proud of.

What he said…

What he said…

LOL… :stuck_out_tongue:

Nothing has changed.

Those without insurance will still show up in E.R. and cost everyone else money through higher rates and cost shifting.

Its a math and human nature thingy.

LARGE HOUSE! LOTS OF ROOM! RECENTLY OPEN!

the health care reform is more about controlling the health care providers and insurance companies than controlling the people. Why is there so much propaganda coming from them? I have a lot of friends in health care fields and no one is as pissed about the regulation as them. Why? wages and benefits will be felt the hardest at the lowest portion of the totem pole.

Controlling them?

They are in it up to their necks.

The government just mandated everyone buy their product.

Healthcare costs 5 times what it should because of the government granted monopoly.

As Mike makes yet another argument for a single payer not for profit health care system.

Way to go Mike!!!

I’m a great example of the ACA working. After surgery in October 2003, my insurance company paid the bill and dropped me. With pre-existing conditions, then, no one would even quote me a rate for insurance. Summary rejection. I told one company: “Quote me $25,000 a month and I just might pay it!” Nope.

In January 2012 when the lifetime cap was lifted, insurance companies came knocking on the door, mailing me, texting me, emailing me, calling me. Finally, in July 2012, I found health insurance with affordable premiums, affordable copays, affordable prescriptions, affordable dental care, and affordable vision. All for $387 a month. Since then I have increased my deductibles and copays to lower my premium to $283 a month.

So I was self-insured (i.e., no insurance) from December 2003 to July 2012. Now that I have health insurance again, I don’t mind going boating, hiking, skiing, etc., because if I get injured, I have health insurance. Previously, if I wasn’t doing a home inspection, I was sitting at home. It’s fun to be active again!

If single payer is so great why didn’t why didn’t they?

Hey Mike, the saying, “they can’t put anything on the internet that’s not true”, is a myth, I swear it is.

It’s real simple. Canada has a single payer system. When was the last time you heard a Canadian b itch about their healthcare?

And don’t be posting any of the BS FOX News talking points.

Most Canadian are reasonably satisfied and not looking for any big changes.
We are very satisfied with how it works.
Doctors Costs seem much higher in USA this could be for the Liability insurance expense .

Ask the ones that cross the border and get their procedures done here because the wait is too long in Canada.
