Sales tax on top of inspection fee?

Just wondering if other Canadian inspectors are charging sales tax on top of there inspection fees? For example do you charge $400+tax or just $400 flat and pay the tax out of that?

People in Ontario are used to the 13% GST .

We added $52.00 total $452.00

Thanks, Just updated the info. Our sales tax is also 13% but rising back to 15% thanks to the new budget. Appreciate the quick reply!

I add the tax on top of the fee. When people call I tell them the total and say it includes the taxes. $450.00 plus GST. $472.50 total.

We all have to pay taxes. Why should it come out of my pocket.

Taxes are not negotiable.
