I’m all for cleaning up the oceans. It’s pretty disgusting to see all the trash that gets washed up onto beaches.
We should be reusing and recycling everything that we possibly can. The main factor preventing this is that it is not economically feasible. Most people are going to stick to buying the $0.59 light switch from Menards over spending the money that is needed for Schneider and the retailer to turn a profit off of one made from recyclables.
But if more companies jump on board with this concept prices will come down. We have to start somewhere

Again, I’m all for everyone being more environmentally conscious.
However, the demand for environmentally friendly goods will never take over the demand for cheap. We have started somewhere. People smugly brag about how they are saving the environment after buying an electric car. After buying one and finding out that the car is not as versatile as gas powered, they demand that the government put up charging stations so they can charge their cars for free. They get a tax credit for buying the car, then escape paying road taxes by not buying fuel. Now they complain that the rough roads are going to tear up their new vehicle. THEY do not want to pay the price to be environmentally friendly. They want everyone else to pay so it is more economical for them.
It’s no different than those that claim that they want their towns small mom and pop stores to survive. Yet you constantly see stacks of Amazon boxes piled up outside their door.
