Seller claims furnace doesn't work

I use a clamp on amp meter to be sure all the backup heat is working.

Best advice and oh btw, I have done that very thing several times over the years. Sellers reactions are not always funny, but always revealing.

Hello Robert,
I must ask is this a typo or am I missing critical information regarding the unit that was being tested?
Or are you interpreting heat pumps as geothermal?
There are a number of heat pumps with outdoor units.
Can you give me some more insight?
Thank you sir

Yes. In almost everything you posted.
1: By listing to what the vender stated. The venders declaration declares known problems.
2: How you opened yourself to needless liability if you reported your undeveloped findings . "there was about a 25° difference between intake and exhaust temperature heat pump was about 35 to 40 "degrees difference.
3: A Heat Pump is not a Furnace.

A heat pump operates in the air-conditioning mode about 20 times a day! Look for the post by David Anderson.

Our electric forced air furnace has 3 elements. Late last winter one element broke. Our HVAC guy spliced it and recommended replacing all three. This fall the spliced one and one other element broke leaving us at 33%. If anyone had asked, I would have said it was operating at 30%.
