I spoke with a friend who just built a new home. He tells me that he has a sandmound downhill from his home and his tank is a “triple” tank that has no pump. There is an alarm in the home for a high level & the tank releases to the sandmound in large quantities. Since the sandmound is down a hill from the tank, when they took the caps off the sand mound and released the water, he stated that the water went up in the air about 20 feet. This is what he tells me, he was there when they installed it & tested it. I never heard of a sand mound/gravity system with no pump and a triple tank. How about some information on this. Input? Igor where are you??

Hey Igor,
I was just in your neck o' the woods for a little R&R at the Inn at Lake Joseph in Forestburgh. Nice area up there. Funny, I was thinking about where the septic system was on the property, but it was tough to see with two feet of snow. Sometimes I wish the inspecting part of my brain could go on vacation, when I'm not working.

Igor,
I'm from Bergen Co., N.J., about 90 minutes from Lk. Joseph. I was looking in the yellow pages in the Inn, and I didn't see your company. We will probably be going back there and I will give you a shout.
BTW If you are ever in that community, check out the Inn. It is very nice, but of course you pay for it @ about $250 per night. Women just love to spend money, don't they?? They just reshingled the entire exterior with incredible details that I've never seen on a cedar shingle job.
