On this panel the incoming sercvice netural wire was in contact with the ground wires. What problems can this cause?

Thanks. I did not think it caused a problem, but it never hurts to ask icon_biggrin.gif

Is it just me or are those individual EGCs terminated to a single lug intended for a much larger, single wire?

Not just you Joey! Unfortunatley all too common lazy install. No way of knowing if all the EGC’s are secure. The lug below also has a “double tapped” neutral (with the GEC). None of this is probably a huge safety issue assuming good contact, but “probably” isn’t good enough and we all know “assuming” is dangerous.

Yeah, I'd recommend the EGC's be moved to individual lugs (or two or three depending on the panel listing). The double tapped neutral also needs its own lug.

All the EGCs could also be spliced into one pigtail the size of the largest EGC and terminated on one of the small lugs.
