A wider angle interior picture would have helped to help you. A wide angle picture of the exterior corner would be good as well, recently painted or not.
If less than a 1/4" gap I would not be calling out a foundation specialist. Fair number of SE in this area are not worth the fee. Somebody like Randy would be awesome.
Those metal straps are totally useless. Non standard framing.
