We had a pipe burst in our aprtment. Is the water that goes into the toilet the same as the water that goes into the faucet?

If it isn't, is sewer water unsafe? If it is sewer water do I need to throw out everything in my bathroom?

I heard that in some places, that the water that goes into the toiled is "reclaimed." I live in Los Angeles.

Reclaimed water is not allowed for residential use in Los Angeles.

The water to your toilet is the same water that you are drinking.

The city of LA uses reclaimed water for many of its irrigation systems - parks and such.
