I recently had the opportunity to shadow Bert Hull, owner and inspector of Knoxville Engineered Home Inspections (InterNACHI Member #NACHI13112213), and I’m incredibly grateful for the experience!
From the beginning, Bert was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly patient. He took the time to explain what he was looking at throughout the inspection, why it mattered, and was always happy to answer my questions. I never felt like I was in the way or asking too much—he genuinely made me feel welcome and encouraged me to learn.
The entire experience was extremely informative and gave me a much better understanding of what goes into a thorough, professional home inspection. Being able to see the process firsthand was invaluable.
A huge thank you to Bert for allowing me to tag along, for sharing his knowledge so generously, and for making my shadowing experience such a positive one. As someone interested in pursuing home inspection as a career, experiences like this make me even more excited to continue learning and growing in the field.
I highly recommend Knoxville Engineered Home Inspections, and I’m very thankful to Bert for such a fantastic experience!
We inspected a 1961 House in Oak Ridge (near the National Labs) that had been added onto and had many interesting issues, including a settling foundation.
Today Carrie is doing her second ride-along and we are inspecting a new-construction house in a large development (a few hundred homes) in Clinton TN.
Carrie has a good attitude and is a quick learner and I look forward to our inspection today. She will be a pro at this in no time.
Thank you very much for the kind words! I truly appreciate the feedback and the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience. I’m grateful and look forward to continuing to learn.
After I met Bert in Florida at the last Pro Convention, I told Kaela, Ben, etc that this Bert guy is a superstar. He’s what we want for membership and representing our industry.
