Sink configuration

I have a bathroom with 2 vanities. One sink drains into the other. Each share the same trap.
Is this correct?

Just does not look correct to me.

No. Plus you have an S trap.

That’s a homeowner special.

Separate fixtures are required to have their own trap!

My guess is it’s the master bathroom and they converted a single sink vanity into a dual sink vanity. Just not the correct way.

Thanks everybody! As most of you guessed, some of this house was a homeowner special.

That same bathroom had unleveled floors, a less than 90 degree closet wall. They even left the old hot and cold valves from the late 60’s.

Thanks, again!

Go figure. I see twin sinks in baths all the time (not with that drain arrangement). If you’ve been married more than a week you’re not going to visit the bath at the same time as your wife! No need for twin sinks!

Both have guessed it’s the master bathroom (the one of a bedroom).

But it’s not. It’s the bathroom off of a common hallway. My guess two of your children can use it at the same time so you will not be late for church.

  • or maybe to help get your guest get to know each other a little better.

The master only had 1 sink a shower stall.

What about double kitchen sinks?

Robert guess I’m lucky, I just go in there to hang out and make everything is where I left it.
