I have an old house where the floor joists have been sistered. Are there any specifics out there as to what I should look for? Or say? Or recommend?

I’m OK with the spans, but was curious as to whether there was anything else that would be required, such as additional supports, or anything else?

Doug,
Not enough info in your question. When you say sistered, do you mean two joists fastened together with each one running the full length of the span? Can you take pictures of the situation?
