Does anyone know how to decipher the manufacture date from a Skymark International combo furnace/AC unit? I’m guessing it is original to the home (2006) but looking for confirmation if possible.

I had 06 in my mind since that is when the home was built, but 11/05 makes perfect sense. Although I don’t think I’ll state that in the report unless someone can confirm it as fact.

As you know, the age (Build Date) of a building is determined from when the Permit was issued.
You also know, that one of the very first mechanical components to be installed is the Furnace, so building can continue throughout winter.
IMO, all the numbers fit the build date of 2006 scenario.

Where do always find these warranty lookup sources JR? It seems whenever I go looking, I seldom get results. I didn’t check Johnson Controls on this one though, even though I did read somewhere that they bought out Skymark.

I think we should just be able to post the data tag and he automatically gives us the date. I’d pay $3/mo for the service!
