Hands-on Mock Inspection Preview
The Introduction to Commercial Property Inspections 3-Day Class concludes with hands-on training. You’ll inspect the university’s historic masonry buildings, including the primary systems, components, and conditions you can expect to encounter on your own inspection jobs.
This hands-on inspection reinforces a systematic approach to assessing both individual buildings and multi-building properties, giving you the opportunity to apply what you learned in class to real-world conditions.
Some of the inspection elements include:
- Low-slope and steep-slope roofs
- Roof and property drainage components
- HVAC equipment and controls
- Water heating equipment
- Structural components
- Restrooms and plumbing fixtures
- Interior finishes and layouts
- Exterior envelope and fenestration (i.e., windows, glazing, and doors)
- Site topography, parking areas, and exterior grading
