Agree with Marcel.
This is the ridge vent I put on my house when I re-roofed it in 2007. Prior to that it had the old crappy metal vents that leak when it rains or a hurricane blows through town. This is easy to install. Their price seems a little high. I paid $84 for a case of them plus the cost of a bundle of three tabs to cover it. Has been dry as a bone since with many many bad storms since installation.

I would love to see photos and where the home is located.
In proximity to what. Hills , valley, large building and witch way was the wind blowing in relationship the the structure.
Has there been water infiltration during a rain storm?
