When I first saw this I had no idea what it was, a bowl near the floor that was plumbed. The current owner told me it was a water bowl for a dog? Okay, I guess that would work, just not easy to clean it.

I used to like those, Doug, they stay well wherever you set them like on the arm of a couch or chair.
