I got a request from a solar company asking me to do a site survey on a house. They claim they have a home owners permission to have sub contractor inspect the roof and attic. Do I need some kind of agreement with the solar company or home owner before doing anything? Anyone have experience on this, please share, greatly appreciated.
Absolutely! NEVER step foot on a property without full authorization, IN WRITING, preferably from the Owner of the property, (or at least a copy of the authorization to the Contractee for your presence)! If you can’t prove your legal right to be present, you could be up “Sh*ts Creek” if anything goes wrong!!
