Interesting. Per the manu, this blower should be installed 1 foot above the surface of the water. I think we are a bit out of spec. The pool is at the top of this (shoddy) set of steps.



It definately could have been better thought out. There are at least two ways to put the blower below water level though, one is a “hartford” loop and the other is a check valve. That’s also how self contained units are done. If I had no choice as to location I’d use both. There also may be a problem with the distance from the spa, more than about 10’ with out a hartford loop leaves too much water for the blower to evacuate each time it’s turned on and results in shortened blower life.
