Seems like people are always thinking outside the box… I’m inclined to think that while being unorthodox, that this feed to the Sub Panel is OK, but thought I would ask for a second opinion.

The neutrals and EGC’s need to be separate at the subpanel among other violations.
The neutral terminal appears to have a bonding strap attached to it, there are missing knock-outs to name some others.
Nothing about this installation is “proper,” but it will certainly provide power to its intended circuits. . .
Thanks Robert and Jeff, the client’s father is an electrician and also the Fire Marshall, I visited with him and he plans to make the proper corrections.
