I am a new inspector and I saw something that to me looked ok but was wondering if other people have seen it. The seller of a 7 year old home has a pump by his pool that pumped water to the roof through a flexable line that he had snaked across his roof and then down into the pool to heat the water. He had brackets nailed to the roof to hold the hose. He also had the nails sealed with caulk. I told the buyer it should be ok but I would check the attic every year or so to be sure no water is leaking in and to reseal the nails. The attic looked good and no water damage around brackets. Has anyone ever seen this and did I say the correct thing to my customer? Thanks
