Read this remedy on an inspection report somewhere. Can anyone shed any light on this? Does this work and how?
***Squeaky Floor
Are not a matter of great concern. The condition can be reduced or ****eliminated by the application of talcum powder between the joints.
It might work as a temp fix but the only way to stop squeaks is to properly attach the subfloor to the joists. I can’t see going into the crawl space, moving all the insulation and attempting to squirt powder along a specific area.
