techtanium date code

I came across a Techtanium indirect water heater today. I am trying to date it. I cant find it on the web.
Model TT-40
Bar code/serial# 3060019 09 12270 0054998
There is also the letters FAB 407

Is it an 09,98,07, or what year. It is in Hurricane Sandy territory.

Techtanium indirect water heaters are something I date all the time. Since I noticed this old post was only answered with contacting Diversified, which will work. I will make it easier. Techtanium heaters have a 21 digit serial number, just like the one posted. The first 14 digits will be in BOLD ink. The last 5 digits in bold are the date. The first two digits are the year, the remaining three digits are the day in the year. The answer for the above question is the heater was manufactured 9/26/2012.

curious as to how 54998 translates to 26 sep 2012. do you have a way to convert them? i like easy

yes i certainly did. thanx for pointing it out.

edit: upon looking at it with that in mind, it would have been so obvious had i not been used to the army’s 4 digit julian date instead of the 5 digit.
