Texas Code back door alarm

Is it code to have an alarm on the back door if you have a swimming pool and the homes wall is part of the fence? Does any one write this up if it is?

i’m hired for my knowledge & opinion of the conditions present, there is no law or code for those that ignore this

it’s not just doors, any ingress-entry access to the pool-spa area or other water features on the property should be taken into consideration

there are a number of other incident protection devices besides alarms

i report the facts, what others do with this information is entirely upon them

It isn’t part of code to my knowledge. However, it is possible that your city adopted its own code.
In any case, I do recommend having door chimes and other pool safety related features, especially if small children will be living in the house.
