On Friday, May 20th, from 12 noon to 5pm, the South Sound Home Inspectors Chapter of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI) is having a lunch meeting. The meeting is open to all. You don?t need to be a member to attend. The lunch meeting is $25.00/person, including the presentation. Spouses welcome.


Virgil Pelton, President of South Sound Home Inspectors Chapter of NACHI will be discussing the chapter's new website: www.psnachi.org. Our guest technical speaker will be Dalton Gittens of Gittens Architects on What home inspectors can learn from architects. Patricia Mannie from Pierce County Chamber of Commerce will be speaking on Home inspectors and the Chamber of Commerce. George J. Sykora from Bug-Off-Pest Elimination will be speaking on Inspecting for termites. Nick Gromicko, former veteran REALTOR, ad agency owner, and NACHI's Director of Operations will be speaking on Marketing your home inspection service directly to home buyers, Raising your prices when your competition charges less, Converting every call into a scheduled inspection, Creating a marketing brochure that works in Washington,Home Inspector Licensing in Washington and Oregon, and Tweaking your website to generate more inspection work. Lorne Steiner, CEO of Porter Valley Software and NACHI's Director at Large will be giving a seminar on Advanced Communications for Home Inspectors which includes: Effective Marketing to increase business, Best Business Practices for the Home Inspection Industry, How to effectively Avoid Litigation.

From I-5 north or southbound take the Seattle Tacoma International Airport exit at the junction of I-5 and I-405 on to Hwy 518 west and follow the signs to Seattle Tacoma International Airport. Then take the S 170th ST exit. At the stop sign turn left and go to the next stop sign (S 170th) and turn left. Go straight until you get to International Blvd then turn right. Go to S 176th ST and turn left. You will find the hotel one block up on the left.
