Like anything, it isn't perfect.
I looked up a wall oven and a downdraft cooktop from a home I recently bought. It missed by 5 and 7 years. Granted the units were 20 and 21 years old (mfg. date stamped on the ID plate) and being replaced so it was no big deal to me.
Just use caution.
