The first remote id drone tag is available, the Dronetag Mini. A little pricey at $295.00 bu t you will need it come September.
Why can’t I just glue an Apple Airtag to it?

That answers a question I had earlier that nobody could answer (about an upgrade).
An Apple Airtag might not squawk what the FAA is looking for in ID and signal.
I believe that most of the current drones, it will most likely just be a software update. I doubt that the $350 dollar unit will get much traction since you can get a fairly decent complaint drone for little more than that.
