some doors are installed with a “side lite” set up. a narrow “window” that goes the hight of the door and is usualy about 8’’ wide. i’ve never seen these lites open. it the ones on top are transom lites i’ve not seen them open either. but i’ve seen the ones on interior doors open. is this what were all getting confused about… or just me?
