Has anyone ever heard of this type of insulation? I’ve done a search on the internet and couldn’t find it. I did find Top Red plaster listed among asbestos products. I saw this insulation in a furniture factory in NC, and it is at least 75 years old. It was in a ceiling above me when I noticed it and could only see the words “Top Red” through a one foot opening. It was a bat insulation and it was yellow.
I also noticed all the cast iron piping in the ceiling was wrapped in insulation with a white covering. I did see pictures very similar to that in my search of asbestos.
This is not for an inspection, I’m just curious; though there are guys doing some remodeling in it.
