Town by Town licensing? please add your $.02

Does anybody in the country know of any state that allows for town by town licensing after State licensing? If I am reading New Hampshires amended legislation correctly, NH will allow/require each town to have an additional license required to inspect in that town.

A single state licensing process makes it more uniform for judges to determine if we followed SOP’s… if you have licensing by each jurisdiction, then the standard might change by jurisdiction… thus opening us up to judges that want to interpret our standard differently… my $.02… the idea sucks…

Wonderful. Life isn’t complicated enough.

Bump!

We have had county HI licensing since 1997, though it was never implemented nor enforced by the County’s Department of Consumer Protection.

Since the State now has implemented Hi licensing, the County will rescind its own version, and the State currently occupies the field.

A wise decision, IMO
