Richard,
I took AHIT’s 8 day course in 1999. When I got back home, I did everything they said to do, and got rich. (Just kiddin’) I felt like it was money and time well spent. I was satisfied with the instructors, the material and the class size.
My wife took the study at home course from AHIT this spring, took their tests, scored higher than I did, and got their certification. The study material hasn’t changed much. I hired her on a part-time basis and she says I’m working out fine, my probationary period is almost over.

I likewise took the AHIT traing,in class, and was very impressed with the material and method of presentation. I would add the course is more geared toward trades people as their focus, for me, was on defect recognition. It took a while to change my mindset from contractor to inspector but once I accomplished that the rest was, as they say, all good. Their support system is extraordinary. The focus being on helping you get going in business and marketing as is NACHI.
