I’ve got a Tramex ME5 moisture meter that has started acting kinda funny. The needle sporadicly jumps to 15% on its own. It will usually return to zero in a couple seconds, or will return to normal when it touches a surface. The readings are in line with other meters we have and the batteries are new. I put an email query into Tramex and I’m waiting to hear back, but in the mean time I figured I’d ask on here if anyone has seen this before.
Mine’s operated with out fail for years. Never have seen what you describe, Michael.

After 4 or 5 years of use, In mid 2020 at the peak of the plandemic one of my Tramex’s started acting erraticly as you described. I contacted the nearest Tramex dealer in Orlando and ended up having to send it to the factory(?) In Ireland. They fixed it and returned it. No problems since. I think(?) I had to pay the shipping to get it there. I know for sure I was happy when I got it back.
