If you are spending time in Miami such as south beach, Haulover beach, coconut grove you will need to know the spanish speaking language… If you travel further north into lauderdale palm beach any further north I am not sure what plans have may have been cancelled due to hurricanes -This is festival time of the year. ie: music, arts, drinking and more check out. Las olas Blvd. in Ft. lauderdale / Riverwalk is a cool place to hang out.
