I agree. I think we should return to making China stronger by allowing them to exploit our markets and being locked out of theirs. And we should do this right away.
As far as the extreme weather, most of it is likely due to China who run the giant production plants on coal power. The same plants that make disposable widgets for us to buy. Am I wrong?
Let me guess. We need a calculated, measure approach to China’s theft and exploitation. Let grown-ups talk about it as they have for the last 30 years.

Just as a reminder, the first Trump tariff debacle of 2018 cost the American Taxpayer 16+ billion dollars to bail out the farmers, and that debacle would be considered small potatoes when compared to the current debacle he’s gotten into.

It’s has to do with smaller government, decentralizing government, removing unelected power structures which has been the cornerstone of conservative Republicans for a long time (not the Rhino’s or the uni-party lawmakers).
I look forward to it. Of course, the sky is falling left will say something like “Hitler used the same techniques.” I do not care what they say. Big government and socialism has always been the catalyst for tyranny. It exists right now in Australia, Germany, France and even the UK. Freedoms are eroding in front of their eyes. Free speech is a joke. Their leftist power mongers are moving against any opposition as quickly as they can. Hate speech is the “offense” they use to silence their opposition, since they get to determine what hate speech is. Canada has been long gone. They may never recover.

So you think we were in a good position? Our bubble economy was sustainable? Our industrial losses negligible? Our trade relations served America? Our dependence on China for computers, phones, and pharmaceuticals etc. was OK? How about Germany? We couldn’t sell a car there. How about Japan? Couldn’t sell much there.
You are equating Wallstreet with financial security of the average American. I think that is the wrong attitude.

I don’t think we were in a good position, I know we were, the numbers don’t lie.
But what you or I think is just that, I prefer to listen to the experts in the field of economics and form an opinion based on what they say, and what they’re saying and have been saying, is Trump is wrecking our economy.
Tariffs have their place, and if done methodically and with precision they can have the desired effect. But the way tariff man has gone about it, according to every economist and businessperson I’ve heard and read about in the news, is all wrong. He’s already done irreparable harm, not only to the economy, but to our standing on the world stage, and things will only get worse if he doesn’t do a 180 and reverse course, and soon.
