I am just getting started in my career as a home inspector. I would like to take some of the exams from the cities in Minnesota that require truth-in-housing public inspections. How hard are these exams? How do you prepare for them? What is the best references to prepare?

Brandon,

Why don't you contact them and ask them what materials should be known for these exams since they are the one that is giving it?

I have never heard of this type of inspection but maybe one of our inspectors from your area could help you out. Since most of our inspectors don't use the message board you would probably make out better looking for one using the inspector locator on the NACHI home page and contacting them via phone.
