Well that could very well depend on what you are looking for and your needs. Are you computer savvy ? I’m sure you can find a lot of info floating around these boards.

What is the best and easiest today is obsolete tomorrow

Best of luck and welcome !!!

I'm not sure, Mr. Tedesco. Which would you recommend? And why the fake name?

It is my experience via my students that the programs to use in relationship with the Inspection is as important as the computer. Most work on middle range systems but the user must determine which program is best for him or her. The choices involve large scale programs which are computer internal driven or internet driven programs where you pay as you go.

For new inspectors the pay as you go idea has merits. Once you get busy then the program you buy which has a set price is the way to go.

Much luck in your decisions. I think the computer is less important than the software and the ability to use the software properly.

Either choice you make will be a commitment for at least 1 year or so, so consider wisely.

I found that www.walmart.com has real laptops on sale for under $ 500.00. Their brand called BALANCE systems) but again as I said the programs are just as important if not more important. (I bought 1 to see if it works and it's actually is faster than the HP System I bought last year for 4 times the price- so my daughter now has the older more expensive one and I use the cheaper, faster and lighter $ 500 model which works great. (actually is cost $ 682 with extras upgraded memory, warranty and shipping)
