Citation: Sandford v. Cox, 1999 CanLII 2157 (NB Q.B.)

Date: 1999-07-08

The plaintiffs purchased a house from the defendants Cox. They sought and received a warranty that the building did not contain urea formaldehyde foam insulation (UFFI). They hired the other defendants to do an inspection of the home prior to the closing. They now say the home contains UFFI and they sue the Coxes for breach of the warranty and the other defendants for negligence in failing to locate the UFFI during the inspection.
