Are ventless gas wall heater allowed in sleeping areas? If so what is required to have them places there? CO detector, oxygen sensor switch that shuts off unit???
Check the warnings on the device and the mfg. installation and operating guide.
The IRC does state not to have them in sleeping, bath, or closets, But there are exceptions to this. If it has and oxygen deplition sensor and if the it doesn’t exceed 10K BTU/h and the bedroom meets the required volume criteria ( which is 50 cubic ft per min per 1000 BTU/hr IRC code # G2406.2
