Water Concrete Emergency reserve "Box"

In the country side area in Puerto Rico this is not an uncommon site. Some properties had a concrete "box built with cinder clocks and plastered with concrete as their emergency water reserve. Many have not been in use or torn down for many year. This week we saw this one, obviously not in great shape but a major necessity after Hurricane Maria. It has mold, mildew, it is leaking but working and family says they will not tear it down or let water out to clean because you might not have the service to fill it back up.

Looks like a good market for IBC tanks

Many a cistern in Bermuda. Only way to get water there, only water you’ll get by drilling is sea water! Roofs are designed to run water into the cisterns.
