Water Pressure

I know that the IPC has a paragraph in chapter 6 requiring a pressure reducing valve if the static water pressure in the building is above 80 psi. For some reason I have in my template to recommend one above 60 psi. Anyone know where the 60 psi came from?

I agree. I think 60psi is about all the pressure you want if your home is equipped with plastic tubing for ice makers.
