Well Flow Testing Meter

Good Point, BUT …

In my area, I would be nervous about AFTER the inspection sending a SURVEY asking …

  • “Did the inspector suggest you test for radon?”
  • “Did the inspector explain about mold?”

If they then called WANTING a radon or mold inspection AND it came up funky, I have nighmares about the call from their Attorney saying … IF my clients had KNOWN - - BUT the bad home inspector DID NOT ask them…

Therefore on add-on’s like this, I ask upfront BUT would NOT personally send out a Survey afterwards with that type lingo in there.

IMHO

Don’t do that! Sending it afterwards is too late.

One of the main benefits of www.nachi.org/survey.htm is to create the equivalent of a time-stamped deposition which can later support a contention that your client was thoroughly satisfied at the time of the inspection.

www.nachi.org/survey.htm is to be used on the day of the inspection. That is also how it upsells ancillary inspections for you.

Good Thought … We always sent the surveys out several days later.

Too late to upsell any ancillary inspections at that point.
