The one year time limit Joe H referrs to was in response to Jeff Remas’ assertion that Nick was wrong with reference to the one-year cap.

Thanks Joe H for referencing the Facts, for all to see.

Again, this rule pertains to Pennsylvania only, in this specific case. Your state's laws may be different, as Ron B points out...

I asked about a time limit for customers filing a claim at a meeting here a few months ago and the response I got here was, if the report was not performed to standards there is no time limit,

I found nicks answer of 1 year regardless if report / inspection was properly completed interesting

Agreed. Some states are much tougher on the HI and the report.

Hey guys,

came back a day early from the ITA show who had over 800+ inspectors at their show.

The NACHI booth was very well represented by both Dave and Jerry you should be proud to have them as representatives of NACHI.

This is a very interesting subject, I only have a partial policy and really am not going out on a limb so to speak without seeing the whole thing and make any comments or recommendations. But, from a dec. page that I have (1st page of a policy) is that under Item 3 it reads like this:

Commercial Property Coverage Part Not covered
Commercial General Liability Coverage Part 1,250.00

Professional Liability Coverage Part Not covered
Commercial Inland Marine Coverage Act Not Covered

Now based on this dec. page there is no E&O coverage for this particular insured.
But what happens is that there usually is an addendum page that is added at a later part in the policy information. The whole give and take fiasco that carriers do...
So without seeing the entire policy and the potential for an addendum which probably shows the additional cost for the E&O. I am going to err on the side of Western Heritage and say they have this in the policy elsewhere, other than the dec. page.
But if it is not...
Then it is only a GL policy.
Sincerely,
