What do you do in your spare time

…but enjoy a little more comfort than most.

I have 4 kids, 3 that are 3 and under. Spare time? I’m not exactly sure what you mean.

In all seriousness, when I’m not working, I guess my time is devoted entirely to my family and self-improvement (reading, jogging, working out, business training, etc.). I get up at 5 every morning to jog or work out. Me or my wife then work through the day or one of us is the “baby sitter” for the day. I then read or hang out with the wife after the kids have gone to bed.

This pretty much is my life at the moment, inspections and raising a happy family. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I love to ride my Harley (electra Glide), I fish when I can and coach basket ball with my son at his old alma mater, lots of fun. I also spend as much time with my grandchildren as I can.

I ride a Harley Heritage as much as I can.

I’m also working on cold water fusion. My mason jar is starting to bubble. I think I have it about figured out.

Wish you guys’d asked earlier . . .
There’s been no spare time the past couple months. Record inspections.
Sorry to hear you’re all crinked up, Nick!

When I am not working at HI, and that is not too often, I like to drive around in my 1995 Olds Cutlass Convertible ( D.O.H.C. with 24 valves all flying around in there!) and I build and fly radio controlled aircraft. The other 12 minutes of summer are spent gardening, cutting the lawn and taking out the garbage. Oh yes and I write a column for our local paper.

It seems as the years go by my hobbies and interests change.

I was an avid skier but have not skied in 3 seasons.

I was an avid cyclist but do to any injury that occurred about 4 years ago I do not cycle and I miss this activity BIG TIME. I have been to 2 chiropractors and 3 specialist but know one can figure out what the problem is.

I have a 9 year old son who is above average at sports and I enjoy watching him play especially when he dominates the game. (Like 2 triples and makes double plays in the field) (In football he scores most of the teams touchdowns and pulled a lot of flags on defense) I did not have the opportunity as a kid and young adult to play college ball due to coaching, Dad and a bad temper. I dream of my son playing for a small college and me his happy day is proudly watching.

I started walking a lot since I could not bike. Was doing 3-5 miles a day.

Now I only walk about a mile (with my dog Maggie) as I have health issues. (Any good doctors out there that know what the heck they are doing!!!)

My In Laws have a place in the middle of the lower Peninsula and it is nice to go there for a few days and fish, boat, walk, swim and have fires.

Nick take care of yourself!! My son starts his 1st year of tackle football this season.

Good thread, nice to know what others interests are!!

I am a Boy Scout leader. I just spent the last week in northern Wisconsin at a Boy Scout came. We had a great time and the boys earned a lot of merit badges. It was cold and rainy but we did not care. It was a week away from the city.

Get out of this goldurned summer heat (112 two days ago) and go to the coast in my trailer and '96 Suburban my wife affectionately calls “The Beast”.

I’ve asked her why she doesn’t call ME that, but she won’t answer.:stuck_out_tongue:

I watch (and attend NHRA Drag Racing at local tracks), and I collect coins.

I’m guessin Makajawan? Near Antigo. Went there when I was about 9 yrs old.

Spare time??? I’ve got a 5 month old and a wife who works full time. I’ve never heard of this so called ‘spare time’.

Jeff

I pretty much give Linas something to watch on the board!!!

Looks like a lot of us, me included, like to shoot things. I wonder if shooters are attracted to home inspections or if home inspecting make you want to shoot things? Camping, hunting, enjoying the Black Hills. Brewing beer. I’m president of the local brewing club and we have many get togethers especially in the fall as the weather cools off.

To be honest I consider Home Inspection as my hobby, though I do it full time, as I love doing it.

To be honest I don’t have much spare time… probably why most in my family die young we work way to much when I do relax however I do it in style. If anyone knows about Forest Park in the STL area they’ll understand why. I just moved into a 2 million dollar home with a pool that rocks. No it’s not mine however for the time being it is.

Billy, Did you move in with that fat realtor???

Shooting and teaching shooting. Keep planing on going to IDPA but usually sporting clays. Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4(RetroActiveRpt).
