The high-limit stop must be set to limit water temperature to a maximum of 120 degrees for the shower, with a plus-or-minus 3-degree scald device. Bathtub and whirlpool tub limited to a maximum of 120 degrees Fahrenheit with a water temperature limiting device. Bidet limited to 110 degrees Fahrenheit with a limiting device.
120F is the max.
So if the house has a water heater capable of producing 160°F than guess how hot the water is coming out of the hot valve on a wide spread valve?
Every whirlpool I’ve ever inspected with a deck mounted tub valve always has super hot water coming out of the hot valve.
