Cover it up. LOL
But now I have to remove my work desk and reinstall.
Oh well,
Marcel, I go with the flow with what the wife wants…only once. If a second change comes about, she pays I don’t move a finger. ![]()
BTW…Nice job!!!
much cheaper to keep the wife and change the floor partner…
As the saying goes “Happy Wife, happy life!” ![]()
A lot of truth to that, Manny.
Although this is my man cave, she is the one that cleans it and she always hated that tile.
Before the tile we had carpet and when I removed that carpet, there was VAT. Well, I made both disappear and installed the tile. No one uses the front door on the next level, so this level gets all the traffic from outside, and that carpet was always dirty, so she wanted tile at that time.
So that is the bottom line, whatever makes them happy. LOL
That tile had to be cold up there in Maine.
What a coincidence Marcel. I just went through this. Our wife’s must be on some secret dark web internet site plotting against us!!
I started to just do the new kitchen floor when she told me she never liked the ceramic tile in the foyer! I didn’t want a transition, so I chiseled up the tile and between laying a subfloor and leveling this is the result. No before pics but this is it completed.

That’s a lot of up and down putting flooring down, how are knees feeling? :face? ![]()
You are not kidding! I am glad it’s done though the painting took the longest. I ended up painting the kitchen, foyer, up the hallway and our bedroom including the ceilings.
I told my bride that the paint was only 24 years old, and I used 30-year paint. That excuse didn’t fly. ![]()
That’s for sure, Scott, especially when all my cutting and tools are 6 steps down to the basement and you have a bad back two artificial hips and knee. My back is killing me. lol
My back hurts just thinkin’ about it!

You guys have me worn out,…I need a cup of coffee…
Oh god, it’s a pandemic!!!
Me too!
yikes, dont tell my wife
Yeah, right! Word got out about all these fine remodels and upgradings.
Now my bride would like an addition put on our home. ![]()
Thanks a lot, guys! ![]()
One thing I found out early on, don’t show the wife pictures of the fancy homes you are inspecting, lol.
Well, got it all done today and have my work station up and running again. All that is left is a litlle of base trim and paint and install the fin tubing radiation cover. And my legs and back a killing me. Total cost = $465
Looks good Marcel.
Now take a break, you deserve it. ![]()
Looks great Marcel!
